Fishing in Kissimmee

Early visitors to Osceola County, Florida came for many reasons, one being the great fishing opportunities. Photos from the 1890s show strings of fish caught in the many lakes. In 1942, the Kissimmee Chamber of Commerce erected two large billboards to entice travelers to the area. Today, fishing still draws many to the area in the hopes of catching “the big one”!
